Once you've read that, here are a few tips and hints:

When editing an article, please attempt to match the existing flow and style of the article unless your edits are to modify the article to match others in a similar category or style. In other words, if the tone is encyclopedic, phrase your edits to sound encyclopedic as well. Note that many of these articles are meant to be encyclopedic in tone.
Strive to maintain neutrality and verify facts before editing. Observations have their place, but verify your observations are rooted in fact before editing any of the help files or similar articles.
Avoid addressing the reader directly unless the article is very informal
If you strongly disagree with an article based on your observations but cannot verify your facts, use the Talk Page, found in the "Discussion" link at the bottom of the article, to add your opinion and solicit feedback.
